Epiphone LP Special II Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar

Epiphone LP Special II Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar

Our number one selling model is more than just about the price. The Epiphone Special II is a great way for beginners to get started on guitar with real, Les Paul tone, but seasoned pros love the Special II because it's a great-sounding, workhorse guitar that lets them leave their more expensive axes at home. The authentic LP power starts with all-Mahogany construction with a Rosewood fingerboard and is voiced by a pair of hot open-coil 700T and 650R Humbucker pickups. Like all of our electric guitars, it comes standard-equipped with 500K Ohms potentiometers, our own heavy-duty 3-way pickup selector toggle switch and non-rotating heavy duty output jack. This value-champ also features Chrome hardware including the Epiphone LockTone™ locking Tune-o-matic bridge and Stop-bar tailpiece for amazing sustain and even more mind-blowing value.

Alnico V Humbucker pickups and the industry-standard Tune-O-Matic bridge.
Product Description
Angled Headstock
Unlike cheaper designs, all Epiphones feature a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut and so you get more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets.

Double-Waxed Pickups
Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures optimum performance. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is put in place to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax.

Output Jack
To increase reliability and ensure consistent performance, Epiphone's proprietary output jacks feature an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel.

Toggle Switches
All Epiphones feature our all-metal, USA designed switches for reliable contact and longer life.

Tunomatic Bridge
Fully adjustable, the tunomatic remains a classic after over 50 years. Unlike guitars fitted with tremolos, there are no tuning or re-stringing difficulties. Plus, tone and sustain are improved because all string vibrations are transferred directly to the guitar.

Potentiometers
Epiphone is passionate about performance. That's why their instruments use one-inch diameter potentiometers for better "throw," longer life and reliable service.

Quick-Connectors
For unequalled reliability as well as ease of service, Epiphone wiring harnesses feature quick-connectors.

Listen,If you want an inexpensive guitar with great sound and easy playability, buy this one. Period.
I bought a black one to leave in the trunk while I was at work, in case the guys called for a practice session, so I wouldn't have to go all the way home to pick up my gear.
I have other, way more expensive guitars, like a Gibson ES-335, Dean 12 string, and a Fender Strat, but I gotta tell you, I like this one soooo much I play it more than the others! No kidding.
And if it gets banged up, so what??? It costs a buck thirty! Buy another. In facte I bought 2 others with different finishes, just for a cheap change up guitar.
Dig it.

This is a professionally crafted and really sounded great, i just feel dismayed that the original string on the 6th was already broken... other than that this sound great and ready to rock right out the box.
