Epiphone LP Standard Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar

Epiphone LP Standard Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar

Everybody wants a black Les Paul. Here it is with superb quality, the undisputed King of Solidbody Electric guitars with a reign spanning six decades. The Epiphone Les Paul Standard is an eventual must for a guitarist's collection, because this model lives up to its mammoth reputation of unmatched tone and sustain.
Legendary guitarist and inventor Les Paul lends his signature to every real Les Paul guitar, authenticating his soveriegn design standards, so you know you are getting "the real thing."

Flagship Guitar
From the tone-rich, bound, mahogany body with set, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapezoid inlays, to the rich, vintage tone provided by a pair of high-output Alnico Classic Humbucker pickups, this guitar is the standard for all others. It also features chrome hardware, Grover tuners, with our new Epiphone LockTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and stop-bar tailpiece that gives you even more sustain from the guitar famous for it. The Epiphone LP Standard Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar is Epiphone's flagship model for its Les Paul electric guitars.
Features a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapezoid inlays.
Better Price for the Same Sound
The Epiphone LP Standard Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar is more affordable than its big brother, but that doesn't mean this guitar skimps on sound or quality. Visually and ergonomically, it is almost identical to the more expensive model. Put one of these beauties in your hands and neither you nor your listeners will be able to tell the difference.

Cutaway Style
With the cutaway style, you get better access to the frets. A single cutaway allows the fingers to move past the neck-body join. In an acoustic guitar, cutaways can change the sound quality of the guitar. In an electric guitar, it makes no difference if it is a single cutaway or a double cutaway. It all comes down to style and fingering preference.
Features Les Paul cutaway style and controls.

Customer Reviews :
great guitar at a bargain price, August 13, 2009
By Geoff Faulkner ( NYC )
I have always been a fan of Gibson, way back before they moved their main factory to Nashville and started doing a lot of their manufacturing overseas. Because of that, I have alwasys been hesitant about going with one of their non-US guitars, such as this one. Call me skeptical.
The price was right, so I took a chance on the Epiphone Les Paul. Was shocked at how good the quality and sound was!!
Those who have played ths standard, Gibson Les Pauls will probably notice a few differences, like the lower-quality wood, electronics, and hardware. What you get here isn't bad though. It's just not as good as a Gibson. But you're saving about $2000 though, so I think it's a fair trade.
A good sounding guitar!! Good for a beginner/intermediate player who wants a "real" Les Paul.

 Epiphone, Gibson...what's the difference, May 8, 2007
By J. Bush "RocknRollJunkie"
I'll tell you what's the difference, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton (during Cream), all to do with popularity and yes a Gibson might sound better, but this one will save you a little dough and still sound good. This is a excellent guitar and worth the money, you don't need to buy a $2900 version of a original Les Paul, unless you have the money for it, this will do just fine. I play mine every day and it hardly ever goes out of tune and I mean very seldom, unless I'm getting downright crazy with the axe and it still stays in tune. The pick-ups are good and has a rich sound, I also like it better than the Strat and yes, I used to have one.
